Free Blood Pressure and Bone Density tests.

     Welcome aboard the express to a healthier, faster,more powerful engine!

     Use the Train Depot map to Locate all the many stops on your trip. Get your ticket  

     stamped at each station after a successful Mind Game is played. Turn in your completed

     train ticket for a chance to win a departure gift at the end of your trip.

     Come play some Mind Games with the Newport Senior Activity Center!

     Lets keep our Brains thriving and Powerfully Strong. Some of our health fair participants 

     will be: AARP, Aging Wisely, Bridge Club, Community Services Consortium, Foot Clinic,

     massage, NARFE, Hospice, Meals on Wheels, Computer games, Samaritan Health, Pacific

    Communities Hospital, Quilters, RSVP, Living well with Chronic Conditions, Senior

    Companions, TOPS, free Wii games and MORE.......

Write Your Own Story Workshop & Reader's Theatre

Saturday, October 8, 1-4 PM

An Activity funded in part with a Grant from the Lincoln County Cultural Coalition

 

Guest instructor, Dari Smith, will conduct this workshop designed to help you tell your own stories with the accompanying copy of her workbook you receive to keep writing your stories.

Following the workshop we will have weekly meetings evolving into rehearsals, led by Trish Morningstar, Experience Works employee and author of this grant, for an Evening of Entertainment at the Newport Senior Activities Center to be held in mid-December. Participants will read from one of their condensed stories, and in-house publishing of the collection will be available to all participants.

Huge Silent Auction

 

This celebration puts the Newport Senior Activity Center into a Buzz of activity with spring in the air. People from all around Newport dress in bright attire to dine at the May Day Luncheon. The Red hat Societies, City Employees, and other patrons (some Senior and some Junior) arrive ready to enjoy an array of Spring Time Foods.

With the chance to enjoy a bit of Communal Chatter and Enjoy some entertainment. Come help us celebrate our KickOff to Older Americans Month and the Very Merry Month of May.
