Newport Senior Center Trip Policies
Registration Procedures and Disclaimers
- REGISTRATION: Registration for classes and trips are at the Senior Center. Spaces are non-transferable. If you have any questions, please call 541-265-9617 for more information. Payment is due at registration.
- PAYMENT: We accept Cash and Checks for payment for Senior Center Classes, Trips, and Outdoor Opportunities. Please make checks payable to "CITY OF NEWPORT", unless otherwise noted. Your space is reserved upon receiving payment.
- CANCELLATIONS: If you must cancel, please call the Senior Center as soon as you know you won't be able to attend. If you have already paid, you must cancel at least five (5) business days before the trip departs in order to be eligible for a refund. Our refund policy is as follows:
- If you cancel, No Refunds will be given for activities that have a fee less than $25.00.
- Trip & Hike registration fees will NOT be refunded after the Registration deadline (Five business days prior to departure.)
- Refunds shall NOT be issued to participants who fail to show up for an activity they were registered for.
- The Newport Senior Center reserves the right to cancel any activity or trip due to low enrollment. Full refunds shall be made to all participants if this occurs, even if the cost of the activity is less than $25.00.
- If you paid with cash or with a check, a refund will be issued.
- If your payment was made to another company, we will abide by their cancellation and refund policies.
We Must request that when you travel on a Senior Center Trip or Hike that you plan to spend the day as a Itinerary is planned. We CANNOT be responsible for a participant when they DO NOT stay with the group.
This information is subject to change. If you are registered for a trip or hike, you will be notified in the event a change is necessary. Check for updated information on our travel table in the Senior Center reception area.
Please keep in mind that the return times are the most accurate guesses that we can come up with. Sometimes we arrive home earlier or later. if this is an issue for you, Please remember that we have cell phones available you need to notify your loved ones.
