Election Information
Municipal elections in the City of Newport take place on the first Tuesday in November of even-numbered years. Each election includes the selection of three City Councilors (serving four-year terms) and the Mayor (serving a two-year term). All positions are elected at-large, meaning they serve the entire city rather than a specific district.
