Urban Renewal Agency
The Urban Renewal Agency oversees projects and funding related to Newport’s designated urban renewal areas. The agency reviews development proposals, infrastructure improvements, and financial strategies aimed at revitalizing targeted districts within the city.
The City Council serves as the governing body of the Urban Renewal Agency, with meetings held separately from regular council sessions. Meetings are scheduled as needed and are open to the public.
