The mission of the Newport Police Department is to consistently invest available resources toward our City's reputation as a safe place to live, work, play, learn, and visit. This will be accomplished by complying with professional standards established by the Oath of Office, Professional Code of Ethics, and administrative directives. Lobby Hours: 
City Hall is open Monday - Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and closed on Fridays.

If you need to file a police report or speak to an officer, please call our non-emergency dispatch at 541-574-5807.

  *To request a police record, pick up property or process the release of an impounded vehicle after 2:00 p.m., we prefer you do so by appointment by calling our Records Department at 541-574-3348. Please come to the north entrance of City Hall and follow the instructions posted on the door.

  *Impounded vehicles released Monday - Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; Friday by appointment only.

  *Sex offender registration Tuesday and Wednesday only, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m

  *Property/Evidence released Monday - Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m
