Apply For Temporary Taxi Permit
The Newport Police Department grants temporary permits during the Newport Seafood and Wine Festival, taking place February 19-22, 2026. Applications must be submitted in person at the police department no later than Thursday, February 12. The department is located at 169 SW Coast Highway in Newport, and is open Monday - Thursday, 8 am - 6 pm.

To apply, please provide in person:
- Completed, signed, and dated application
- Driver's license
- Two (2) passport-size photographs of the applicant
- Proof of insurance ($500,000 minimum)
- $25 cash or check payable to City of Newport
