Sports With Newport Parks and Recreation.

The Newport Parks and Recreation Department offers opportunities for people young and old to participate in a wide variety of sporting activities. You can enter one of our competitive leagues or simply come during our drop-in times to enjoy playing your favorite sport in our fantastic facility.

How to navigate our sports page

Simply click on one of the sports listed in the menu bar on the left hand side of the page. If the sport is one with multiple leagues i.e., youth, middle school, and adult, the sub menu will then give you the option to chose which age level you are interested in.

Parks and Rec Sports News

We have reached the end of another fantastic youth basketball and indoor soccer season at Newport Parks and Recreation. Once again this community has amazed me with its benevolence. In tough economic times a number of local businesses and organizations have given financial support to our youth sport programs. This year we had over 300 children enroll in our winter sports programs, and it is on their behalf that I would like to thank the following local businesses for helping us improve and maintain the quality of this program: OSU Federal Credit Union , T&L Chemical Toilet Service, T&L Septic Service, Cohen and Park portrait studio, Agate Beach RV Park, Family Dental Group, Pig N Pancake, F/V Challenge, Russ Baldwin, Agate Beach Paint Supply, Gray’s Web Design, Decorating Den Interiors, Shilo Inns, Newport Bay Coffee Co, Barton Law Firm, Landwaves Inc, Abel Insurance Agency, Windermere, Macpherson, Ginter & Diaz Lawyers, Fidelity Charitable, Jeff Schrantz state farm insurance, Chinook Winds Golf Resort, F/V Heidi Sue, Aprils and Nye Beach, Pig and Pancake.

Be a volunteer!

We are always looking for volunteers! There are lots of ways you can help out: coaching, score keeping, refereeing and more. If you are interested in helping out the youth of our City by being a volunteer with the Parks and Recreation Department, please contact Liam Hughes at the Newport Recreation Center.
