Welcome to the Public Works Department website. The Newport Public Works Department provides a variety of services to the community in the areas of public health and safety, environmental quality, and economic development.

Newport’s coastal location and weather presents many challenges. Our Public Works Department is dedicated to providing proactive solutions and responses to water treatment and distribution, street maintenance and repair, engineering issues, and economic development projects.
