Volunteer
Share your time, skills and talents! Opportunities to volunteer with Newport Parks and Recreation and it’s Sports Division are almost unlimited! Individuals and groups can help with a one-day event or assist with an ongoing sports league.
How can I volunteer?
Volunteer opportunities with coaching Youth Sports and helping with the After School and Summer Clubhouse are a few of our most popular volunteer opportunities. Assisting with our special event projects are also available to those interested.
Things to Know before applying:
A Volunteer Application Form must be completed. A Criminal Background Check Form must also be completed and approved by the City of Newport Human Resources Department prior to service.
Youth volunteers must be at least 14 years old to volunteer.
All Volunteers must attend and complete all pre-service training, BEFORE being placed in a volunteer position.
