Book Club Open Houses on Jan. 13 & 21 at NPL
Thinking about joining a book club in 2026? Newport Public Library sponsors two book clubs, The Reading Circle and Bookmarks!, which meet monthly to discuss a variety of books. In January, each of the book clubs are hosting an open house and are inviting readers to visit, meet like-minded bookworms and share the favorite books they read in 2025. In addition to great conversation, there will also be refreshments and prizes!
Our morning club - The Reading Circle – will be meeting on Tuesday, January 13th from
10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. For those who prefer a club later in the day, the Bookmarks!
book club is meeting from 5:15 PM to 6:15 PM on Wednesday, January 21st. The clubs
discuss a diverse selection of books, new and old, fiction and non-fiction, and are
looking for new members. There are no specific titles being discussed at the January
meetings – just an opportunity to say hello, share your favorites from last year and enjoy
some treats. And everyone gets a free book!
The Book Clubs are free and open to the public and registration is not required. Book Clubs meet in the Conference Room of Newport Public Library, 35 NW Nye St. in Newport.
